A LEARNER driver who panicked after crashing into a parked car drove around the corner and smashed into another.
Blackburn magistrates heard that Irfan Yousaf ran off after being confronted by members of the public.
Yousaf, 21, of Whitehead Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two charges of failing to stop after an accident, driving without insurance and other than in accordance with a licence.
He was fined £460 with £50 costs and banned from driving for 12 months.
Deborah Morgan, defending, said Yousaf had been having driving lessons for the past 12 months and felt extremely embarrassed by the incident.
"He can't explain the first crash but he panicked and drove round the corner only to collide with the second," said Miss Morgan.
"There were a number of people at the scene of the second crash and he says he was assaulted by one of them before running off."
