A drink driver was caught after pulling out in front of an off-duty military police officer.
Ramunas Budvytis, 29, of Fleet Street, Nelson, was breath tested and the reading was 101 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 mililitres of breath the legal limit is 35.
Burnley magistrates were told he had no insurance or licence either.
Budvytis admitted driving with excess alcohol. He was given 150 hours community punishment, banned for 28 months and must pay £50 costs.
