Darwen FC boss Kevin Henry hopes to open up the club's Anchor Ground out of season for sports groups wanting to train and hold competitions.
The clubhouse would also be made available for community groups to hold events such as car boot sales and fundraising activities.
It is hoped the move would encourage more people into football and make the club more economically viable.
The club is also hoping to set up a youth team and wants to hear from junior teams in the area interested in linking up with the club contact the club on 01254 777800.
