A PUBLIC inquiry into plans for two huge wind turbines on the moors above Edgworth will close next month.
The original four-day inquiry, which began at the Barlow Institute on February 28, overran and was adjourned. The closing submissions will be held on Monday, May 15. The Dootsons applied to install two 95 metre-high turbines as part of a renewable energy scheme run by Cornwall Light Power.
However, the plans were refused by Blackburn with Darwen Council in October, 2004, on grounds of size and adverse impact on the character and landscape of the area.
