A ROSSENDALE tradesman has been voted the most loved joiner and builder in the UK.
S & S Joinery & Builders director Stephen Hodgson has received the highest compliment for his customer service.
Hundreds of people took part in a nationwide search to find the best businessmen in the country, and Stephen was found unbeatable.
After winning the competition run by Bestof, Stephen said: “It is fantastic to have received so many testimonials and see how much our customers appreciate our work. “I am delighted to have won not only the most loved builder/joiner in Rossendale, but to have come out as top builder nationally is a great achievement.”
The Helmshore man set up the business back in 2002 and has won the hearts of the locals who voted for him in the recent competition.
Stephen, 40, of Mercer Crescent, said: “I just believe in being a good builder, instead of these rogues, and giving a fair price to customers.”
He works with just one apprentice, 19-year-old Peter Kernan, from Waterfoot, who has just received an award from the Institute of Carpentry in London.
