TALENTED Natalie Gumede will be in the TV spotlight when she helps present "Children in Need" in the North West.
The 11-year-old, from Colne, was picked by BBC producers to help presenter Merryn Myatt from NorthWest Tonight on the regional "inserts" to the charity extraveganza on November 24.
Natalie, of Chatham Street, was one of five hopeful young actors shortlisted by the BBC after a visit to Pendle Hippodrome Youth Theatre.
Her mum, Imogen, said: "She was a bit surprised she had got it. She reckons she will be dead nervous on the night but at the moment I don't think it's really sunk in.
Natalie, a pupil at Park High School, Colne, only joined the youth theatre in the summer. She has a small role in the group's production of Finian's Rainbow, which is being staged at the Colne theatre until Saturday night.
