ACTRESS Mina Anwar, from East Lancashire, has hit the TV big time in the Rowan Atkinson police comedy "The Thin Blue Line."
Mina, 26, plays no-nonsense young WPC Maggie Habib in the comedy written by Ben Elton and set in a small town police station.
Mina, whose parents still live in Church, went to school in Accrington and was a student at Accrington and Rossendale college.
She was also a former member of the Imps Theatre Company in Hyndburn.
She left for London after winning a place at drama school.
In the police comedy, Mina plays the WPC who wants to be a good copper but knows the odds will always be stacked against her. She is hoping the role will make her face well known across the country and lead to more television work.
Mina recently returned to her home town to film "Flight", a specially commissioned drama for the BBC about a Bengali girl caught up in a tragic love affair.
