FURIOUS Rovers fans today turned their wrath on chairman Rob Coar in the wake of the Sven Goran Eriksson fiasco.

Irate members of Ewood Blues, the independent supporters' club, say Mr Coar is a businessman at heart who doesn't care about the football or the fans.

And today they were taking their protest to Liverpool where they plan to hand out hundreds of leaflets before the game at Anfield , spelling out their damning indictment of the Rovers figurehead.

Ewood Blues spokesman and landlord of Rovers stronghold, the Fox and Hounds, Ewood, Derek Haworth says members are disillusioned about what is happening at the club and they don't believe a word Mr Coar says.

Mr Haworth said: "Look at his record, he said Shearer was staying and we know what happened there.

"He said Kenny Dalglish didn't want to be involved with the day to day running of a football club but that is what he is doing now at Newcastle, so why did he leave Rovers?

"Then he said Sven Goran Eriksson was definitely coming.

"Nothing Rob Coar says seems to come true and we don't trust him. "This news is not a great surprise but why has it gone on for so long? It has made us a laughing stock and it must affect the players.

"Eriksson has gone back on his word but the question is 'why?' You don't simply change your mind overnight.

"I think there's something at the back of it but we'll never get to find out, just as we never got to find out about Dalglish."

Mr Haworth added that although the Ewood Blues were not at this stage calling for Mr Coar's resignation, they would like to see someone else in the position.

He added: "In an ideal world we would like to see someone who cares more about the football side of things.

"Mr Coar is a businessman and we think he cares more about that than the football."

Ewood Blues members also accuse Mr Coar of keeping fans in the dark about club issues.

Derek added: "We aren't being unreasonable, we just want to know what is going on.

"It is not too much to expect considering that we give the club our money for season tickets.

"We would like to see somebody with more heart for football at Blackburn Rovers."

Mr Coar refused to comment on the accusations.
