THE latest position on Burnley market traders' battle for compensation from their council landlords will be spelled out at their annual meeting this month.
The Tenants' Association is asking for cash for disruption and loss of trade during major improvement work in the Market Square area two years ago.
Claims followed their refusal to accept a rent rise demanded by the council, an issue which subsequently had to be decided in county court.
The compensation dispute is also heading for court hearings.
The annual meeting of more than 60 indoor tenants will be addressed by the solicitor acting for the traders.
It will take place in the town centre Concert Artists Club on Monday April 28 at 5.45pm.
