MARGARET Thatcher bitterly attacked moves towards a closer European Community as the flawed visions of yesterday's men. She warned that unless it was stopped it would cause political tyranny and moral catastrophe.

Blackburn Rovers manager Kenny Dalglish was keeping his battle plans under wraps for his team's crunch promotion play-off clash at Derby. The team was battling for a place in the Premier League.
