I HAVE recently taken possession of a 1939 Singer 9 Roadster, registration number HEH 623, which was delivered by Singer to Coulthurst and Grimshaw in Blackburn in June, 1939.
I understand it stood in the showrooms for many years and was, in fact, still there when the dealership changed to the Rootes Group in the 1950s.
Should any of your readers have perhaps worked for Coulthurst and Grimshaw, or remember this car, and can provide any information or history, I would be delighted to hear from them.
