Blackburn Rovers were Wembley bound for a Premier League play-off after a nerve-shredding night at the Baseball Ground.

Despite losing 2-1 to Derby, Rovers won through to the promotion final to play Leicester City on aggregate.

Following the match, Derby police were scanning video tape in a bid to track down a soccer fan who kicked and punched Blackburn Rovers striker David Speedie.
