THE Smithy Heritage Centre in Kiln Lane, Eccleston, is holding a Horse Shoeing Day this Saturday (May 10). The day's star attraction will be a show horse and farrier who are travelling from North Wales to take part in the demonstration. There will also be talks by various local historians and an art exhibition by local schoolchildren. The horse-shoeing session begins at noon and the whole event is free.
