ASTLEY Curate Russell Tague (pictured) is going to jail.

He is leaving St Stephen's in August to become a prison chaplain.

On September 1 Mr Tague becomes the first full-time chaplain at the 296 inmate Swinfen Hall Young Offenders Institute.

He says:"As they have never had a full-time chaplain before it will be trial and error for the first year or so. I will never ever forget Astley. I will never forget the love and warmth shown to Susan and myself."

His final services will be on Sunday, August 10. He will preach at 8am and 9.45am services. Afterwards he and his wife will say goodbye to parishioners at a gathering in school. PACL575/21
