IF you always wondered what Les McKeown and the Bay City Rollers wear up their kilts you have another chance to try and find out!

Les McKeown will be back in town this Christmas wearing his trademark tartan as part of the Magic Of Coronation Street's all-star line up.

He said: "Yes I will be true to my Scottish roots and I'll be giving the audience a nostalgic, boisterous performance of our 70s hits like Bye Bye Baby, Shang-a-Lang and Give A Little Love."

Les will be performing these red hot classics with his latest back-up band, formed in 1991 called. the Legendary Bay City Rollers.

Apart from being a great night out this performance is all the more special because Les McKeown is playing in Britain only four times this year.

These days he is a busy man with a generous clutch of international tours under his belt and a popular following in Japan and in America, where he does most of his playing.

But when he was given the chance to perform in Blackpool, however, it simply proved irresistible.

He said: "It was an offer I just couldn't turn down.

"I love Blackpool and it has got a lot of special memories for me because we used to play here regularly before we were ever famous.

"I'm really looking forward to being back in Blackpool because I love Blackpool people and I love the fun to be had on the Promenade and in all the games halls."

He also confessed to being a longstanding Coronation Street fan, and laughed: "Personally, I think they ought to give me a part in the soap, you know."

With Les McKeown on the loose with his inimitable Scottish wit and high-energy performance, December 4 at The Magic Of Coronation Street will be a night to remember.
