ANGRY Preston North End fans have hit out the Deepdale ticket office calling it a 'shoddy disgrace'.

Upset supporters say the system is now so bad there is chaos at the ground every time tickets go on sale.

Annoyed season ticket holder Mark Renno travels more than 10 miles from his Blackburn home to get tickets.

"It's an absolute disgrace," he said: "It's just a shoddy outfit."

Mark said he went to Deepdale last week to buy tickets for the Blackburn home and away and Burnley games. He claims that after queuing for half-an-hour at one of the windows he could only get one ticket. He was astounded to find he had to go to separate queues for each ticket - taking nearly two hours in all.

He said: "The fans are the most important part of the club but Preston aren't looking after them and some of the staff don't seem to know what they're doing."

But the club's chief executive Peter Church - who sacked two people in a bid to resolve problems - said operations were now running more smoothly.

Mr Church said the problems were being looked at: "I would agree that it has been a shambles," he said: "But we've not just pushed it under the carpet. We've addressed it positively."

Among measures taken to resolve the situation were putting in an extra counter, recruiting and training new staff, adding a mobile ticket office, and tea and coffee being served to queuing fans by Mr Church himself!
