Royal Mail 24 St Helens Crusaders 18 A LATE try crushed Crusaders' victory hopes.

They found it an uphill struggle after going behind to a 10th minute try.

However, they hit back with a touchdown from man-of-the-match Whitrow, who grabbed a second later on.

A further try from strong-running prop Dunne and coinversions by Saunders saw the St Helens team fight back to 18-18 with five minutes to go.

A last-gasp effort saw a Crusaders penalty kick drift wide. Royal Mail re-gathered and forced their way downfield to score the winning try.

On form for Crusaders were Whitrow, Rogers, Dunne and Molyneux.
