VITAL aid was delivered to a cold and hungry community living in almost Arctic conditions.
Fund-raising Great Harwood businessman John Boast had just returned from a mercy mission to Romania.
Mr Boast and helpers Tony Robinson and Gillian Hindle distributed more than five tons of aid to people, who were suffering in a freezing winter.
The cargo included food, clothing, and medical supplies donated by East Lancashire people.
