LANCASHIRE Hawks still face a potential injury pile-up despite last weekend's supercharged squad.

But as Hawks step up a gear in their play-off bid, the usual suspects are still walking an injury tightrope. Neil Abel, Jeff Daniels and Jim Pennycook all figured on Sunday - and all got on the scoresheet - but will be subject to late fitness tests, and the indications are that they'll be tested on a game to game basis until the play-off's end. With Hawks still riding high on their all-too-rare victory over Cardiff Rage, they'll be hoping some of that success will rub off on tonight's trip to Fife Flyers(face off 8pm).

Blackburn arena are anxiously awaiting news from the BIHA to either allocate points or arrange a return date with Cardiff Rage. Rage claim they can't get the ice time for an away meet, and the decision to give four points to the winner of Sunday's clash was overturned at the eleventh hour.

They should know one way or the other later this week.
