AERO engine firm Rolls-Royce has won a major marketing award.
The firm, which employs more than 1,000 at its Barnoldswick site, won the accolade in the Flight International Aerospace Industry Awards for its marketing strategy for the Trent family of engines.
The first Trent entered service in 1995 and orders had passed the 1,000 mark by the end of last year.
"The Trent is now a market leader and well placed to meet the challenge of the next Millennium," said John Cheffins, managing director Rolls-Royce Commercial Aero Engines Ltd.
The firm's East Lancashire site manufactures wide chord fan blades and front bearing housings for the Trent family.
