I sit in amazement wondering why Mr David Christley's name was released to the press and television last October saying he had been suspended for misconduct. I always thought one was innocent until proven guilty. It would appear this is not so. Surely this should have been an internal matter at that stage. I now find myself reading in my local newspapers. "Council official sacked for bullying." I, like many people in his home town of Rhyl, North Wales, including staff who have worked with him were astounded to see this.
I have known Mr Christley from childhood and I have never known anyone less likely to be associated with bullying in my life.
I believe there has been tremendous support for Mr Christley from Morecambe residents and colleagues which I am sure is much appreciated. Don't let this happen, more to the point... why did it happen?

this allowed
to happen?
