A MAN walking through a nature reserve was threatened with a large piece of wood by a thug who demanded cash.

The victim handed over £3 to the attack who struck in Factory Lane, Penwortham , Preston, on February 15 at 2pm. The culprit was in his early 20s, had fair short wavy hair, was 5ft 8ins tall, thin, pale, and wore dark trousers, possibly cords, a green jumper with a white Z flash on the front. He also wore a distinctive diamond stud in his right ear.

A teenager stole Reebok tracksuit pants from a washing-line on Alder Close, Leyland, while his accomplice distracted the householder by knocking on the door, on February 13 at 1pm. The pants are blue with red and white stripes.

A gang of masked robbers kicked open the door of a flat on Arundel Place, Preston, and threatened the resident with a knife.

They forced the terrified woman to hand over money and a Technics stereo worth £400, on February 18 at 3.45pm.

Shortly before the break-in, a man aged 19-21, around 5ft 8ins tall and wearing a grey hat, peered through the window of the flat.

A man who ordered some food from a Preston coffee shop grabbed money from the open till drawer and fled, on February 20 at 1.30pm.

The thief was skinny, 5ft 9ins tall, and in his early twenties. He had short dark hair and wore a red bomber style anorak.

Thieves sat next to an elderly woman in a cafe on Friargate, Preston, and ran off with her bag which contained bank cards and cash, on February 14 at 3.45pm.

The two men were aged 25 and 5ft 10ins tall. One had short brown hair and wore a blue tartan shirt and jeans. The other had short sandy hair.
