TRAVELLERS who set up an illegal camp in an East Lancashire town met the councillor campaigning to get rid of them.
Altham ward councillor Kevin Horkin spent 45 minutes with travellers' spokesman Michael Doran in an effort to end the deadlock.
An eviction order had been granted by Hyndburn council but Mr Doran, a father of five, said the camp would stay until his pregnant wife had given birth and was fit to move on.
