FORMER Stonyhurst College pupil Iain Balshaw is to take another giant step on the road to full international rugby union status after selection for the Commonwealth Games.
He travels to Kuala Lumpur in September as a member of the England squad to play in the Seven-A-Side competition .
Iain has already been capped at under 21 and England A team level, and was a member of the training squad for last season's Five Nations tournament.
When he was at Stonyhurst in 1996 he was a member of the College's record breaking seven-a-side team which won seven tournaments, including the national championships.
