A CLUTCH of new contracts has been won after a £750,000 factory expansion.
Caswell Engineering of Haslingden recently increased manufacturing capacity by 70 per cent by building a new factory unit at its Knowsley Road Industrial Estate.
The firm has recently won orders worth around a million pounds including contracts to supply and install air conditioning ductwork at two designer village outlets in Ellesmere Port.
The firm, which employs 75 people, has trebled its turnover in the last four years to around £3.2 million.
"Our investment in the new factory and state-of-the-art machinery is paying off.
Our financial results show we are a solid company and we expect to achieve further growth," said chairman Richard Coxon.
The expansion into a second factory on the estate was aided by an £80,000 grant from the Action for Haslingden Partnership which uses Challenge Funding to promote regeneration and create jobs.
