TELEVISION stars came out to shower confetti on showbiz couple Anna-Jane Casey and Graham Macduff.

Rawtenstall-born actress Anna-Jane, 26, fell in love with her co-star Graham after a year of playing lovebirds in the hit stage show West Side Story, which is now in London's West End.

But the couple came back to the Valley to tie the knot in front of friends, relatives and stars of stage and screen at St Mary's Church, Rawtenstall, yesterday.

But the wedding mood changed when angry guests surrounded a Lancashire Evening Telegraph photographer and tried to stop him taking pictures of the happy event from the street.

The photographer sought refuge in a nearby telephone box while the situation calmed down with police watching. The couple had signed an exclusive contract for their wedding pictures with a national magazine.

Anna-Jane's parents still live at Union Road, Rawtenstall, and her younger sister Natalie, who was a bridesmaid, is a star of Channel Four teen soap Hollyoaks.

Anna-Jane, a former Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School pupil, took her first steps to stardom at the Debra McLaren School of Dance in Rawtenstall.

The couple held a reception at Horncliffe Mansion and plan to set up home in London.
