COMPUTER group Skillsgroup has sold off another off its businesses as part of a major shake-up.

The company, formerly Haslingden-based P&P Computers, sold its products distribution business, PSL, to Apax partners and the PSL management team for £16 million. The sale was part of Skillsgroup aim to move from computer product selling and distribution into training and consultancy areas.

Skillsgroup owns computer company Acuma, which employs around 200 in Haslingden.

Acuma provides computer solutions, from consultancy to network management skills, for businesses.

Last year Skillsgroup sold P and P UK, based on the Carr Industrial Estate in Haslingden, to GE Capital IT Solutions for £11.5 million, with an agreement to take on a further £15 million of debt.
