IT appears a new proposal to 'cull' older cars off the road, has been made.
Leaded petrol is to be phased out, which means millions of older cars will be useless as either they can't be converted for unleaded petrol - or it would cost more than the actual car is worth.
This is unfair as motorists already have costly yearly MoT tests on their cars, which include ensuring exhaust emissions are within a certain level.
Yet again the wealthy, with new large gas-guzzling cars, will be fine. But at the other end of the scale, where an older car can be someone's lifeline, the less well off will be hit most.
