ENGLAND'S man of the match at Headingley, Mark Butcher, was very nearly upstaged - by his dad Alan!
For, while Butcher junior was scoring his maiden Test century, former one-Test wonder Alan was answering an emergency to come out of county championship retirement and bat for Surrey.
And with no TV coverage during play at The Oval, Alan missed his son's big moment.
No doubt they've already bought the video.
