A plucky customer took on an armed robber who threatened a young shop assistant in a Blackburn store.
The masked raider walked into Blackamoor Village Shop, Roman Road, around 8.20pm yesterday and started waving a knife at the 17-year-old cashier.
A male customer challenged him and he fled.
The shopper chased him down Roman Road but didn't manage to stop him escaping.
The robber was white, in his early 20s and wearing a red top, dark hat and a brown scarf across his face.
