I HAVE received a polling card for the local elections on May 6 but I have no intention of using it until we get some decent candidates with a caring attitude to the old and disabled.
At the end of March council taxes will be raised and the rents are going up. Whatever pensioners and the disabled might receive in extra benefits won't do them a bit of good. Meanwhile our councillors are on generous expenses for a job which used to be voluntary.
