COULD someone from the local education authority tell me why Brandlesholme and Woodbank school cannot be amalgamated.
Normally when a school has to close it is because it has a bad reputation but Brandlesholme recently got a marvellous Ofsted report.
No thought has been given to the children of Brandlesholme who will not only lose their school, but their excellent new headmaster Mr Young and their teachers. May I also add that it is almost a one mile to walk to Woodbank for many children, with dangerous side roads to negotiate.
