MILLHEAD'S Ian Joel will this weekend be looking to make up for his last outing as the British Trial and Rally Drivers Series heads to North Humberside for the third round.

Based in Hull, this round includes some of the fastest forests in the Series, including the infamous Dalby and Staindale stages. After their non-finish on the Malcolm Wilson in March, Joel and the rest of the Chris Allens supported team will be looking to make amends on an event that they usually do well on. Last Weekend Morecambe Car Club put on the second round of this year's Autotest Championship at Halton Bridging Camp. A full day of competition saw the competitors attempt 10 manoeuvrability tests around the cones on the FA base. Simon Harrison in his Escort Mk 2 ran out the winner with his masterful display of car handling. Having dropped behind early in the morning after mis-judging his stopping distance, he climbed into first place beating at least four Mini's hands down. Lancaster's Les Hall took third place in his Fiat 850, while Series leader Bruce Murgatroyd had to settle for fourth. Emma Pomfret beat husband Marcus into 7th and second in class in his car, while Ron Parker's VW Beetle took 6th. Mick Fallows restored Mini power by taking 5th.
