SOME Manchester United fans are already grumbling about an across-the-board increase of £2 a game to watch their side next season.

Perhaps the Old Trafford giants should look at little Colwyn Bay for an example of how to keep supporters happy and make money at the same time.

Bay are staging a fund-raising over-35s game between their own ex-players and those of neighbours Rhyl. The match is being sponsored by Guinness, whose area manager played for both clubs.

And the admission price to the game includes a free pint of the black stuff for all adult paying spectators!

Hang on, better restrict the black stuff at Old Trafford to Bovril.

Well, you wouldn't want to encourage all those United fans to drink alcohol when faced with such a long drive home . . .
