BLACK puddings are in for a boost in Bury - with a Leigh flavour.
Ex-town centres manager John Ayres, who left his Leigh-based post when his contract expired last month, has been appointed markets manager at Bury.
"I'm looking forward to it and the higher salary!" said John about his promotion.
One of his first ideas is to raise Bury Market's profile by handing-out black pudding shaped balloons.
