THREE lucky customers at Sainsbury's Deepdale store, in Preston, spent the Easter holidays eating their way through a giant chocolate egg - thanks to generous store bosses.

The Easter eggs, which were won in a Sainsbury's prize draw published in the Citizen newspaper, was just one of a number of seasonal celebration organised by the store to thank customers for helping them raise £4,700 for Comic Relief.

Store manager Robert Forbes said: "We also held a painting competition for children, which attracted more than 200 entries, and an Easter bonnet parade in store.

"The events were organised as a thank-you to generous customers, who helped us raised such a staggering amount for Red Nose Day."
