SO, Bury is next to the bottom in the "clean borough" league, according to the Tidy Britain group. As a long-time resident, this comes as no surprise to me.

Although main routes do receive occasional attention, any other litter on verges, car parks, roundabouts and many other public sites remains untouched for weeks or months on end (unless it happens to be near the town hall, where no effort is spared).

Perhaps this poor performance will spur Bury into some positive action. But I for one will not be holding my breath.
