I AM seeking information on a Joseph Mitchell (my great-great grandfather) who, as I've been told, was a Mayor of Blackpool at one time - probably in the mid-1800s.
He had a daughter, Mary Elizabeth, who was confirmed at St Luke's, Southport on March 18, 1887. She came here to the United States and married Walter Slack (also from England) on April 7, 1890.
