CRIMEBUSTERS with portable phones were set to patrol the streets of their neighbourhood.
Residents were planning to walk a community beat in the area around St John's Church, off Burnley Road, Accrington.
They would act as the eyes and ears for the neighbourhood. The patrol scheme was being set up by the St John's Residents' Association Action Group.
