SEWER work in Hindley Green will take longer than originally planned.
And this means the stretch of Atherton Road between Long Lane and Swan Lane will be closed until probably the end of the month.
The road was due to re-open on May 9.
Following the re-opening of Atherton Road, Long Lane will be closed for about six weeks between Atherton Road and Crossdale Road for more sewer repairs or replacement.
Diversions will be signed via Crossdale Road/Swan Lane and Borsdane Avenue/Lancaster Road/Hollins Road and Long Lane.
