SOROPTIMISTS are planning a special Leigh in Bloom to mark the town's centenary.
This year's bloom has the backing of the 100 and 2000 group, Leigh Business Partnership, the Brighter Borough initiative and People & Places scheme.
Town centre lamp posts will have floral decorations, plus pennants and bunting to add colour to the town.
And businesses are being asked to add even more colour to Leigh.
Hanging baskets and troughs are available at a subsidised price of £10 each.
