NICK BENNETT hasn't played a game of golf in his life.
But he swung to the rescue to keep St Joseph's Players on the fairway for next week's production of the Francis Durbridge thriller "A Touch of Danger".
He stepped into the role of enigmatic golf pro Jeff Teago as a late replacement - and is enjoying the challenge.
"It's such a different kind of role to what I have done with Tyldesley Little Theatre this season," he said.
Nick joins his brother Rufus with the Leigh company.
Rufus has just finished playing a schoolmaster in the Dorothy Galvin season with St Joseph's and in October is cast as a soldier in "Accrington Pals", a World War One drama.
"A Touch of Danger" begins a four-night run on Tuesday. Tickets (£3.50) from Boardman's in Bradshawgate - or pay at the door.
