DARWEN take on Preston in the first round of the Vaux Samson Cup at Birch Hall tomorrow, hoping to extend their 100 per cent winning run.

The two sides stand first and second in the Northern League and Darwen are boosted by the return from injury of Neil Cordingley.

Graeme Parkinson retains his place behind the stumps after last week's recall and the tie has a 1.30pm start.

Chorley travel to face Kendal tomorrow in the first round of the Vaux Samson Cup, bidding to avenge defeat by their hosts in the final of last sesason's competition.

They return to Windsor Park on Sunday for a first round match in the Lancashire Knockout Competition against Merseyside club Sefton Park (2pm start). Strike bowler Iqbal Patel will miss both matches and is likely to be out of action for a month with a broken thumb sustained at Netherfield last Saturday.
