Lancaster 7 Stretford 7

LANCASTER dropped a point in their latest Northern counties match last weekend as they continue to warm-up for their National A.S.A Knockout Trophy Final on the 23rd May.

It all augured well for the home side as they went 2-0 up three minutes into the first quarter, with Colin Burgess netting both goals. But Lancaster made hard work of it for the rest of the match allowing Stretford a way back in time and time again.

Lancaster will need to put in some effort to sharpen up their passing and shooting skills, which were found wanting in this match. On the plus side, the team looked comfortable in defence and were able to create a lot of chances from the break aways they created. With the finishing touches added to the performance the team should have a good chance of overcoming Rotherham in that approaching A.S.A final at Salt Ayre.
