BROAD Oak High School is to give its adult learning programme a boost.
The move follows the successful completion of a computer literacy and information technology course by 11 parents.
The course is aimed at giving pupil's parents an introduction into the world of computers as part of the Lifelong Learning programme to bring education to the community.
The programme proved so popular that the Hazel Avenue school is to re-run the course in September as well as other courses such as food hygiene, parenting skills and advanced IT.
Headteacher Mr Andrew Mackenzie said: "We are delighted to bring this first pilot course to a successful conclusion and to continue strengthening our links with the local community.
"We already have a waiting list for the next computer course and we hope other subject courses will prove just as popular."
