MAJOR multi-million-pound plans to take Blackburn into the 21st century were set to go ahead.
A blueprint which would free 16 acres of prime development land in the Blackburn station and Boulevard area was about to come off the drawing board.
British Rail signalled that it planned an all-new bus and rail interchange, which would release valuable land for other development.
