LANCASHIRE Lynx play their first home night match of the season this Friday when they entertain Whitehaven Warriors at Victory Park, (kick off 7.30pm).

Over the last month Lynx have shown much improved form and despite slipping to another narrow defeat last Sunday at Dewsbury they have shown with a near fully fit squad they can compete with most teams in the division.

If they show the same sort of form against Whitehaven they should win at home for the first time since March 7 when they defeated Dewsbury.

Coach Steve Hampson will have a near full strength squad to select from, one doubt is recent signing Andy Fisher who went off with a shoulder injury at Dewhurst whilst long term absentee Andy Bennett is fit and could return to the squad. This game is the first of three successive home games for Lynx and victories in these games would move them away from the lower reaches of the league.

Whitehaven of course, are coached by ex-Lynx coach and manager Kevin Tamati and he will send his team out with a point to prove. The teams have met twice already in league and Cup games with Whitehaven winning both games in close fought encounters.

Lynx will select from: Parsley, Ratcliffe, Murray, Abram, David Jones, Alexander, Flanagan, Horton, Donno, Prest, Shaun Geritas, Solomon, Hodgkinson, Walsh, Darren Geritas, Gee, Guest, Bennett, Danny Jones, Fisher.
