HODGSON High was awash with green, yellow and black as pupils investigated The Size Of Africa.

The Poulton school staged its ninth annual arts festival by looking at the continent from different angles.

An African visitor taught one group how to dance the Kassa, another turned drama class into a menagerie by impersonating animals from Africa, while textile students created flags from the different countries.

A traditional dish was cooked up by the food technology department while art and English classes all took on an African theme.
