FORMER Lancaster City stalwart Mick Hoyle has been appointed general manager at Bamber Bridge.
Mick Hoyle had a stab at the manager's job at City when Alan Tinsley resigned. But when Preston man Tony Hesketh was appointed ahead of him as full time manager he left the club.
He will be involved in managing the football team when Bamber manager Tony Greenwood and his assistant are not available. The rest of the time he will be in charge running the whole club and will appoint a commercial manager.
Said Mick Hoyle: "It's great to be involved in football again at this level. I had twelve years at Lancaster City and it was hard to leave but I wish Tony Hesketh well."
A spokesman from Bamber Bridge commented: "His level of experience at this level both on the football side of things and off the field makes him a valuable asset."
