THERE are people in this town who get things done and then there are those who moan about what has not been done for them. The only time we hear from The Rock traders, they are moaning!
They would do better to put some of their time, energy and money into improving The Rock. There are no hanging baskets or, for that matter, anything else to enhance its appearance. On Bolton Street we have been paying for several years to improve its appearance. Also a word of advice, sometimes, pulling together with the council does get results.
Incidentally, if there are any surplus customers (Your Letters, Aug 20), please send them our way. Like the majority of businesses in this country, we do need them.
